Senate Okays Emergency Rule in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa

The Senate today gave its nod for the extension of

Emergency Rule in the troubled North East states of Borno,

Yobe and Adamawa. The House of Reps had on May 15th

approved the extension.

With the Senate's approval, extension of Emergency Rule by

the Federal Government can now be effected by 6 months.
